Fit 15 Years on Your Mug: Our New Ultra-Compact 15-Year Calendar on a Mug

It took us 6 hours to brainstorm and design an ultra-compact 15-year calendar. We wanted to make calendar mugs, but a one-year calendar becomes obsolete after a year, leaving an outdated design on a perfectly good mug. Using a calendar mug for your morning coffee with an outdated calendar isn't very appealing. So, we devised an ultra-compact calendar that lasts for 15 years, perfect for including on a mug. We envisioned a calendar mug that remained both aesthetically pleasing and functionally useful. How about that? Can your mug outlast its calendar? 

How to Read the Calendar

How does this calendar work? Our calendar takes a unique approach compared to traditional formats. The calendar features months without a weekly header. Instead of displaying months with a built-in weekly header, it features a separate week index. This index is a grid with eight columns. The first column lists the years covered, with our calendar it spans from the year 2023 up to 2037 a total of 15 years. The remaining seven columns display the standard weekday single-letter abbreviations (U M T E R F S). U is for Sunday and R is for Thursday. Those are pretty standard one letter abbreviations.

Each year, the order of weeks changes due to leap years which adds the 29th day in the month of February. Our calendar cleverly addresses this! The leap years in the week index consists of two lines in red. The first red line shows the weekly arrangement specifically for January and February, while the second line applies to the remaining months (March-December).
